The RITA Strategic Planning Committee met on July 31 to advance the short and long term course for the Association.

The Committee, which consists of RITA Board Members, RITA Foundation Trustees, and members at large from both allied associates and carriers, opened the meeting by reviewing and discussing RITA’s rankings in the latest ATRI Annual Benchmarking Survey. The conclusion was that RITA punches above its weight.

Committee members went on to discuss specific initiatives including: safety trainings; the Insurance Captive under consideration; the value of Association Management Software; and the importance and preferred platforms of social media to reach prospective new members.

The Committee then tackled its most challenging assignment: it reviewed, discussed in-depth and placed in order of importance the initiatives and strategic priorities identified at the prior Strategic Planning Meeting.

The day’s efforts identified priorities and tactics for the Strategic Plan which will be finalized in the coming weeks, submitted to the association’s Executive Board for their review, possible modification and submission to the full Board for its review and approval.
