The RITA Foundation is pleased to have participated in the 2025 Junior Achievement Inspire Career Exploration Fair – an important career event at the Rhode Island Convention Center hosted by Junior Achievement of Rhode Island. For three days in December, Foundation trustees and volunteer professionals from RITA member companies shared information with middle school students about career paths in trucking.

In the first picture, Penske Trucks Diesel Technician David Slade explains the technology under the hood of the leased Freightliner Cascadia. Slade also demonstrated the use of a tablet as a key tool in the Preventive Maintenance and diagnostic processes.

In the second picture, NETTTS’ Jessica Bibby and Sarah Packer are standing by to answer students’ questions about becoming a professional driver.
